Privacy notice

Supportside is operated by WebSuitable Inc. This notice explains how we handle information when you use www.supportside.app, support inboxes, and website chat.

Information we handle

We handle account email addresses, teammate names and permissions, workspace and company settings, customer contact details, email tickets, live chat messages, internal notes, drafts, and uploaded files. Website chat can include the page URL and a conversation identifier. Do not submit information that your organization is not authorized to process.

We also handle service activity, delivery status, security records, and subscription references. Stripe hosts payment entry; Supportside does not store complete payment card numbers or security codes.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate accounts, route and deliver support messages, enforce inbox access, provide billing, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and respond to support and privacy requests. Service activation measurements record milestones such as workspace creation and the first reply, without message content. We do not sell support content or use it to train an AI model.

For customer support content, the workspace customer decides why it is collected and how it is used. We process it on that customer's instructions under our data processing terms. We separately handle our own account administration, billing, security, and service support information.

Who can access it

Workspace owners and administrators manage teammates and inbox access. Other teammates see their permitted inboxes. Website visitors can access their own conversation's public messages. Internal notes are not included in customer chat or outgoing email.

Supabase, Vercel, Postmark, Stripe, and GitHub support the service as described in our subprocessor list. Information may be processed outside Canada even though the primary database is in Canada Central. Provider contracts, safeguards, and retention rules apply. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or to protect the security of the service.

Cookies and device storage

Account cookies keep you signed in. Website chat stores the anonymous session and conversation needed to restore messages. The installed app stores application files for loading and uses optional push subscriptions after you enable notifications. The demo stores synthetic data on your device. These features do not require advertising cookies.

We do not place advertising pixels in the service. If optional advertising tracking is added, we will describe it and provide the choices required before enabling it.

Retention and deletion

Workspace history remains available while the workspace exists, including when an inbox is archived or a subscription ends. Cancellation does not automatically erase support records. Owners can export records and schedule workspace deletion, with seven days to cancel before processing begins. Files are removed before active workspace records. Exports contain file metadata; download required attachments separately.

Successfully imported or ignored raw incoming mail is removed by maintenance. Failed or unfinished raw imports are removed after 30 days; operational metadata can remain for troubleshooting. Login accounts are separate from workspace deletion. Provider logs, legally required financial records, and backups follow their own retention periods. Database backups currently retain seven days. Any independent attachment recovery copies use a seven-day retention window; approved erasure requests are accounted for before restored data is returned to service.

Privacy requests

Contact help@supportside.app to request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. If your information belongs to a customer's support conversation, contact that customer first; we assist them with authorized requests. We verify identity and authority, protect other people's information, and respond within the applicable legal deadline. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or the rights of others.

We use access restrictions and private storage to protect information, but no service can eliminate every security risk. If this notice changes materially, we will explain the change through the service or account contact.
